Forklift Differential - A differential is a mechanical device which is capable of transmitting rotation and torque via three shafts, often but not always using gears. It usually functions in two ways; in vehicles, it receives one input and provides two outputs. The other way a differential works is to put together two inputs in order to create an output that is the difference, sum or average of the inputs. In wheeled vehicles, the differential enables each of the tires to be able to rotate at different speeds while supplying equal torque to all of them.
The differential is built to drive the wheels with equal torque while likewise allowing them to rotate at various speeds. If traveling round corners, the wheels of the automobiles will rotate at different speeds. If the torque used to every wheel does exceed the traction limit then the wheels would spin incessantly.
