Forklift Water Pump - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a simple centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid whenever the engine is running.
Utilizing centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside while it spins causing the fluid to be constantly drawn from the pumps center. The pump inlet is positioned close to the center. This particular design allows fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically located in order to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid that is exiting the pump initially flows throughout the engine block and cylinder head. The fluid then goes into the radiator and lastly circulates back to the pump.
